About This Project

Yair Eddie Fraiman is the Director of Public Diplomacy at the Ministry of Strategic Affairs & Public Diplomacy. He is creating and managing projects in the field of Public Diplomacy according to the Ministry’s strategy. He previously served as Director of Interactive Media & Public Diplomacy at the National Information Directorate of the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office. He also serves as a City Councilman for the city of Yoqne’am in the north of Israel and is the leader of the Young Yoqne’am movement.

Yair has previously served as the Social Media Director for the Israel Ministry of Public Diplomacy and Diaspora Affairs, in which he directed the first Ministry’s official operations war room during the 2012 Operation Pillar of Defense, as well as directing the national social media war rooms during operation Protective Edge in 2014 leading the #IsraelUnderFire campaign, which was acknowledged by Time Magazine as one of the top ten Hashtag campaigns of 2014. He is also a Captain in the Israel Defense Force Reserves, serving in the IDF Spokesman Interactive Media Unit.
